When a tooth is broken, cracked, has a root canal, or has decay that cannot be repaired with a filling, then a porcelain crown may be the best option for you. A porcelain crown will completely cover the tooth and is the strongest restoration for a damaged tooth. Crowns may also be used to close spaces between teeth, correct problems with your bite, and to help restore misaligned teeth.
On your first visit, we will remove all decay and shape your tooth to support the crown. Then we will take an impression to send to our lab so that they can produce your new crown. You will wear a temporary crown until we seat your permanent crown.
