A white composite or tooth colored filling is used to fill a small area of decay on front or back teeth.  The color or shading can be matched to your existing tooth structure.  Composite fillings unlike amalgam fillings are bonded to the teeth and allow for preservation of more tooth structure. 

A composite filling takes only a single visit.  First, we will remove all decay present in the tooth, and then apply an etchant and bonding agent which will allow the composite to bond to the tooth.  We will complete the filling by exposing it to a curing light and polishing.
